About Julia
Julia Martin Frazier, harpist, maintains an active freelance and teaching schedule throughout the Baltimore / Washington DC areas. She has worked with various orchestras and music ensembles throughout the region, including the Baltimore Symphony, the National Symphony and the Annapolis Symphony. She sits on the boards of Summer Chamber Music in Roland Park, and the Baltimore Chapter of the American Harp Society.
Julia completed her Master’s Degree in Music under Jeanne Chalifoux at the Peabody Institute of Music of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, where she studied with Alice Chalifoux (Principal Harpist for the Cleveland Orchestra 1931-1974), and received Bachelor's Degrees both in Music and Art History. She spent numerous summers at the renowned Salzedo Harp Colony in Camden, Maine under the direction of Alice Chalifoux.
With over 20 years of special events and wedding planning experience, Ms. Martin Frazier's professional expertise cannot be surpassed.
Julia performs on Lyon and Healy harps.
